need advice for CH 3 big decision

Post by zanthia »

I am in CH 3 and I would like some advice on the decision of who to support between the Order and the Scoi'tael. Which is considered the good side and which has the best ending. My understanding is that once you decide now there is no going back. As I will only play once I want to go with the best route.
Also what about choosing between Shani and Triss with alvin. Which is the best way to go?

Almost all the decisions in the game are balanced. You're not going to get "better." You're just going to get "different." So pick whichever side makes the most sense to you.

SWC
Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

Agreed. There is no "best" route. To me, both sides are pretty evil. So just do some roleplaying and decide what Geralt would do.

You can also go neutral, though you'll need to check somewhere for the best approach.

Regarding Triss or Shani.. Initially I left Alvin with Shani, but then I changed my mind, reloaded and left him with Triss. I much preferred the latter. However, that decision actually doesn't make all that much difference to the game as a whole, so just pick whichever one you like best.

I sided with Triss simply because of the obvious romantic history and because I simply prefer Triss as a character :)

As for sides, I tried to go neutral in the Vault and GY but ended up fighting alongside Siegfried anyway ... I don't mind this as from a roleplaying perspective I chose all the answers that suit how I'm playing Geralt (only kills non-innocent humans and tries to save lives if he can)

When the bank gets robbed, there actually IS no neutral path. You MUST side with either the Order or the Scoi'tael.

However, In chapter 4, the path is much easier as a neutral. Take the boy and run.

thanks for replies. I ended up siding with triss and the Order ( at the bank) so we will see how that turns out. I just hope i won't later regret that choice.
