I was told to go a little southwest of the Minefield to find a place called, Scrapyard, somewhere here your meant to find some raiders harrassin Dogmeat, but ive walked southwest and cant find Scrapyard anywhere, anyone know if im missin something?

Hmm well ...
Scrapyard is in the middle of a triangle formed by the Meresti Trainyard, Minefield and Wheaton Armory -this last in the SouthEast vertex- to the north of Vault101 and Megaton i.e. ... far to the north indeed.
