Do what with Used Quest Items? Possible Spoiler

Post by Juguard »

Well, I'm a casual player, so I play on easy, just love the story, etc. Anyways, my question is, what do you guys do with quest items that has done its purpose, for example, if I used a key to open a cell door, the key is no longer needed, but it stays in my inventory, which can make it confusing for some.

I finished the quest Umar Hills, and there, you get the Shadow Prison Key, Symbol of Amaunator, Sun Gems. So after I finished the quest, the items are just left in my inventory, and they cannot be sold. Things would have been better off to just have them disappear after you open a door, and the item is not usable again.

Or is this a bug in my game?

This isn't a bug. I usually either toss them or keep them as trophies of quests completed and keep them at a local in or my personal lair.

Thanks, but a safe place to keep them would be my ranger cabin, from Umar Hills, but thats just too far to travel. Whats another safe place in Athkatla? I read that Cernd's place is excellent, any input?

Personally, I keep all my belongings in a chest, close to where you meet Anomen, within the Copper Cornet.

This is a bit difficult to describe, but my favourite storage place is in Waukeen's Promenade. If you look around, you'll see a large disc-like design upon a wall, and directly in front of it there is a big basket of oranges or something..
Anyway, you can store anything you want in the disc.

You could also consider using this mod which utilizes many such items, including the Symbol of Amaunator.
