Watcher's Keep problem

Post by lokibolp »

I've played the game through twice as evil and good and did Watcher's Keep both times after the TOB jump.

Here's the problem.

I'm still in SOA right before going at the whole Elven city thing and decided to grab some experience and play Watcher's Keep just because it's fun.

The problem:

The gems for the scepter weren't dropped, I only have one, I can't get off the 3rd level. Well I can get off it, I just can't get lower.

If anyone has the item code for the gems, I'd be happy, I think it has something to do with the Harpers showing up on the stairs outside of the keep or something. Maybe not, either way, its really annoying.

Otherwise I'll just ignore the keep and go on to Throne of Bhaal I guess, but this has kinda soured the whole thing.

Any help is appreciated, and yes I've gone through every portalled room and used tab and nothing is there.

Thanks.

Did you get the gem off of the Cambion? I believe he has one.

One of the demons also has one, if I remember correctly.

The third one is in the hands of some tieflings.

I'm sure there are codes for the gems, or even the full scepter, but I don't know what they are.

Yeah

I figured I just missed the Cambrion one when i was at the Tieflings, but they didn't give theirs up either. I'm a bit perplexed. I have the one from the demon.

I think that the scepter with the crazy elf guy has a gem with it already, and one from the demon means that you just have to beat the cambion in his little card game to get the third.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, because it's been a long time since I've played past Chapter 3. I'm pretty indecisive, and I could be done 99% of quests and I would get myself thinking about playing another class/race/party composition.

Anyways, good luck.

Both demon parties carry a scepter gem which you can get by either killing both of them or helping one kill the other (depending on alignment). If you're evil, you will side with the one that looks like a Nabassu. If you're good, you will side with the fiend that looks like the slayer.

So there are your first two gems. The last one can be found with the Cambion and can be acquired by either killing him or playing his game.

^^Note that both demon parties will attack you if your PC is a paladin. Doesn't matter what you've done. Maybe Fallen Paladins get a pass. I wouldn't know.

The same thing happened to me when I played WK for the first time, one of the demons didn't drop the gem.I knew before that he must have the gem and I was surprised when his corpse was 'empty'.So I had to use codes to bring back the missing gem.
