Ive stopped playing oblivion for quite a long time. But one spell does come to mind. It dealt fire/cold/electric elemental damage. About 5 of each per second over a VERY long duration. Cant remember magicka cost tho... but was very effective when coupled with invi spells. :D

I don't typically use custom spells as my mage characters are always far too powerful far too fast and I get extremely bored using them. However, I did have one spell that weakened them by 50% to frost flame and shock and dealt tons of damage. I don't remember how much but it killed almost every one in a single hit and nothing stood up to a second blow. That's when I officially stopped playing as a pure Mage character.

I understand. I prefer default spells too but Conjuration spells with a greater duration is a good idea I think.

There's a good list of custom spells here. Some are really cool. Personally, I tend to stick with weakness to shock and shock damage spells. Makes me feel like a real mage :p

Most of my custom spells are practice spells. I make a spell that requires the minimum amount of magicka to cast in a school I want to improve. Then my character can do something useful while waiting around for NPCs to show up.
Can the answer to this question be "No"?

Question

Hey, a little off-topic, but how do the "For 2 seconds" clauses work? As in "Heal health 8 points for 2 seconds" Does it heal health 4 points a second for two seconds or what? Also, how does the damage health work? does it work in the opposite, Dealing the damage and then restoring it perportionally per second?

Thanks,

It heals 8 health for 2 seconds. Meaning a total of 16 health. Likewise for damage.
