act 2 spirit thing
Am I supposed to get a flash across the screen about using the spirit thing? I could suppress or whatever if I knew when and how. Help.

All of your spirit powers are feats, so you can read about them in the feats section of your character page. They're also described in the manual.

..you get the feats for doing certain things at certain times.
The feats need activation to work:
Go into your character sheet and to the feat tab.
Scroll down to where you see the spirit feats.
Read the particulars for that feat.
Drag that feat onto a "quick slot".
Activate the feat according to the instructions and by using the new "quick slot" spirit feat button.
