Greetings, dear GB Baldur's Gate community!
After a break of a few months I'm picking BG2 up again. I'm planning to play through it as Cavalier this time (I know, "pick Inquisitor, they're better, bla bla bla," but I've done it all before). The only other character I will have in my team will be Aerie. As far as I know there isn't a situation in the game which cannot be resolved by this combination, she provides the summons, buffs, mage spells and romance, I provide the melee damage and tanking. We won't be able to open locks and disarm traps, but such sneaky behavious is out-of-character for a Cavalier anyway.
But what I still need before I can start is a character portrait. I am playing this character in a few other games as well, so I have a pretty good idea of what he looks like and how he acts.
His name is Evengard Ravenheart. He has a slender face with delicate features. His hair is long (down to his shoulders), smooth and dark. He has a slender figure, unlike you would expect from someone carrying an enormous two-handed sword like Carsomyr. His full plate armor is a broken white or just black (this varies) and it bears the mark of a griphon (Griffith ripoff, Berserk, I know ). He's basically what a japanese schoolgirl would refer to as a Bishonen. Really I can't see a better match for Aerie...
If you haven't thrown up by now, please please please help me look for a proper portrait please! Oh and please don't redirect me to some generic BG2 portrait website, I've seen them all, and already have a selection of the best portraits from all those. What I need is an image from an unexpected source.. a digital painting, concept art of a game, a NWN portrait, something like that. With assurance from me that if I ever use this picture as avatar anywhere, I will give credit to the author.

You now bear the awesome responsibility of the Metal "Unit". Gussets of wind, seams like reality, pockets of resistance, the seat of power, and legs as flared as your temper. Polish it well; the onus is now on you.
I have trouble finding suitable portraits for my characters, too.
Since I like playing Half-Elves, there are only a few portraits that are visually appealing to me. I don't like recycling the portraits of Khalid, Kivan, and Montaron all of the time.
Yet no matter how hard I search, I always find strange looking makeover portraits of the BG2 NPC's, often with a celebrity's face. Either that, or pictures that looked like they belonged on 1990's Magic Cards.
I need a good Ranger-like picture. =(

I'm not sure if I've found what I am looking for for Evengard, but in any case this is a great suggestion... if this is what you meant. Lots of great portraits.. I don't like the backgrounds on all of them, but the characters are very beautifully drawn indeed, and cover a wide variety.Lopov wrote:Although you said not to redirect you to any other site, did you check out Amok's portraits?I find it the best for any portraits you need, from babyfaces to scarred cruel assasssins.
