Inventory Items

Post by mammu »

Hi!
I have a question about the items in inventory and please don't think I am stupid for asking it. What items should be kept in inventory and what can be sold or disposed of? My inventory fills up so quickly that some items that I have to gather or find cannot be picked up without dropping something else to make room. I am almost to the point that I want to sell everything that I can just to make room. Is this a good idea or not?
Thanks for your advice.

I generally sold all food and drink except the potion bases. I also sold all the gems, shawls, rings etc. that weren't quest related. Money is not an issue so you can easily buy these if you need to use them as a gift. I also sold the ingredients that were worth the most money as its not hard to get ingredients for potions that you need, but kept nice supplies of the ones that I needed the most. I also only kept the potions I regularly used or thought would be useful, together with a selection of oils for my swords. Once you have read a book/scroll once you can sell that too as you won't need it again. Also, once you have read the contracts, you can drop them as you don't need the contract scrolls once the quest is in your quest log.

Just on a side note, are you using the Extended Edition? If you are playing the original then you have less inventory space as they added some for the EE. Also, don't forget that you can use innkeepers to store some of your stuff if you don't need it very often, just make sure that you have everything you need before starting Chapter 5 as you do not have access to this service in the last chapter.

Thank you, Mr. Sir!
I am not using the Enhanced Edition. I have been selling the books after I read them and dropping the Contracts but have been accumulating all those ingredients for making potions. I guess I will have to make decisions as to what to keep for making potions and selling the rest.
Thank you again for you help.

inventory

Before selling anything Read the walk thru.
On adveradge you can save objects for future quests!
That is very handy, free quests!
Sell all jewery except stuff for quests.
That is as far as I can go with that I get hell if I post large spiolers.
Use innkeepers to store all the stuff you dont need at the immediate moment ,you can always retrieve if need.
like extra herbs oils and stuff like that :D

Ok, I haven't gotten that far as yet, so how do you 'store' these item with the Innkeepers?

Thanks in advance,

Talk to the innkeeper and there will be a little icon left of the dialogue that says storage or something like that. Sometimes you need to talk through some of the dialogue before it appears.
