Fallout 1 - accidentally made Hub Police hostile. Help please!

Is there any way to fix this? I didn't actually attack them, just got a weapon out in their presence... is there a mod or a cheat or something? I tried to run away from them, but can't do it without getting killed..

As far as I remember, there isn't any other way to load a save before you made them angry.

If you kill them they won't be hostile any more. :devil:
You can still finish the game even if you kill the whole Hub.

Doubt whether I have enough firepower to take them all out, giv it a go, though.

Will the bad karma hurt my char in the final stages of the game?

Not at all, you can finish the game anyway you like.
