Had to restart my game (computer problem). Not a big deal was only in 1st cave (ORC Cave) so since I'm going to create all new characters I had a question please.
Can you have both Good and Evil characters in the same party with out causing problems. If I remember you could not do this in BG2
Thanks in advance

As Icewind Dale doesn't contain any form of party banter, there is no difference on what alignments each party member is. As far as I remember the only affect of alignments is wether the character can equip certain alignment-dependable items.
"As we all know, holy men were born during Christmas...
Like mr. Holopainen over there!"

I recommend making your cleric good aligned so you can cast resurrection spells. For the other classes alignment doen't really matter, it affects only some alignment restricted equipment.
If you have a gnome or halfling who can wear helmets make him good aligned.
I'm not sure if it affects starting reputation like in BG but it doesn't hurt if you create the character with the "best" alignment in the first slot.

Thanks everyone.
I know everyone has their own idea of the best party, so I would ask only if this party is at least good enough to finish the game with no problem.
I'm still early in the game, so if this party is really bad, let me know.
Here's what I have.
Paladin-Human-male LG
Fighter-Human-male N
Bard -Human-Female NG
Cleric/Ranger-Human-Female LG
Fighter-Dwarf-Female N
Fighter/Thief-Halfing-Male E
After I finished I realised I did not have a Mage, so I plan to dual class one of the fighters to a Fighter/Mage as soon as I can.
Your thoughts will be appreciated.

Thanks, so how does the party look overall? Will it survive with out a lot of problemsGawainBS wrote:Yes, dualling that Human Fighter to a Mage is a good idea. Make sure he has sufficient INT.
Since you have a Bard, it might be worth it to delay Dualling until lvl 9 so you can Grandmaster a weapon.

Thanks, as usual you always come through and it's greatly appreciated.GawainBS wrote:It looks very, very good. The only that might be missing is a Druid, but this party will certainly do very well.
Just make that the warriors have high (18/51+) STR and 18 CON, everybody has max DEX, non-warriors have 16 CON, and that your casters have 18 in their respective attribute.
All u people are great, hope I'm not bugging everyone to much
