Cant donate bad books o.0

Okay i have the books needed for the dark will users hat but i cant pick which ones to give. he automatically asks for the good books i have and even if i refuse he keeps asking for the same 2 over and over until i give him one. how do i give him just the evil ones?

You have to pick up and donate the bad books before picking up the good books. Since you've already picked up the good books, I don't think there's any way for you to get the evil hat now.

Yeah, I had that problem for a long time too, and the only solution is that you can't have ANY good books when you start that quest, or else he'll choose them first and won't stop asking for them no matter how many times you refuse. And you can't just get rid of items you collect, like books, so I think you'll have to start over if you want the dark hat.

You have to raid Bowerstone South, all the houses and barrels, and I think you get 6 of the bad books. Don't worry, you won't get any "good" books by doing this. Then in the Heroe's Guild, you need to get The Tale of Twinblade and The Pale Balverine from the library, and A Love Story from the dorms upstairs.

Then you turn those in as the first 9 books and you'll get the dark wizard hat, then just go back and get the rest of the books to work towards the silver key.

i can get rid of my good books i dont know why but the books that would be considered good are the only ones i can sell at a item shop so i dont know if my games messed up but i sold my good books to get the hat

I don't think ur game is messed up. More likely when you initiated the donating books quest, you already had good books in ur inventory, so the teacher picked them first, naturally. Once he picks a good book, that path will be set and you wont be able to turn in any bad books for the evil will user's hat. Quite tricky this quest, and requires careful planning on the players behalf. That is, if you want the evil hat. The usual hat is pretty straight forward imho.

If you give good books, the teacher will only accept good ones, and you end up with the will users hat. If you give evil ones he'll give the evil will users hat. If its mixed and matched i tink you should still get the will users hat.
