but it didn't work, at all. I can only loot in combat, which is a major pain. Sorry to be requesting assistance all the timeSymptom: I am unable to loot, or unable to loot except in combat. I have the latest Co8 mod installed correctly but i am still having this problem.
Solution: Make sure you are not using a version of the executable that has the DLL bundled inside it. Certain versions of ToEE as released by Atari had the .dll file bundled inside the .exe file, which means that even if you installed a Co8 mod (along with the Co8-modified .dll file that corrected the looting problem), you still wouldn't be 'using' this file, as it was already contained in the .exe and the game was already using that version of the.dll. Executables without the .dll bundled in should not be more than 2MB in size. If yours is, replace the executable with a no-cd crack .exe as described in post #4.

I tried the Co8 recommendation for this:

Sounds like you didn't get the mod installed correctly. The co8 mod includes the temple.dll fix for this problem, which was a big one a while back. I don't know of anybody who has co8 working and who has this problem.

(Use the lastest 1.3 build - it's still beta, but stable and far better than 1.2)

No, you want to play the co8 Mod, or else it's not going to run the temple.dll fix, which is what fixes this bug and a couple others.
It will also change the game quite a bit. I haven't messed around with Front End, but there may be a way to set it up to run whatever patches you want to run, but if you're not using the co8 stuff, you'll probably want to stick to just patch 2 and the temple.dll fix.
If you run co8, you need to select it as your module in front end.
