Do You take Pride in your char's age?

Post by Cowled Kensai »

I know some people are afriad of being an old fart, but I really could care less ow old he is. My Fighter ended the game at 63 even with the Temple of Avo reverse aging so I guess old age was inascapable :p . I thought it would be cool being old cause after the game you can be like those old grumpy teachers from the Kung-Fu movies.

Well not really. It's just a game. So long as it doesn't effect my ability, I don't care! Oh also I accept my ages...
I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel alright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.
I may be bad, but I feel good.

While I find the aging aspect to be unnerving, as what Bloodthroe had mentioned, I agree that it doesn't really matter as long as it doesn't have any effect on his ability. :)

I just hope you don't age as fast in Fable2

I was thinking more of ditching the aging aspect in Fable 2 since it doesn't really serve that much of a purpose at all, to be honest, other than for being purely cosmetic only. Furthermore, I find the aging aspect rather pointless as the game time or even the game world goes on a day-to-day basis rather than a year-by-year basis.

Seeing as the age as well as scaring etc have no effect in fable, I can't say that I do.
I do however find it fun to run around as a 70year old while everybody else haven't aged a day, and it supposedly is a couple of years time passing in the story-time (once you become a hero).......... I don't know what the developers where thinking actually when implementing age

Actually i do think if u do ditch the aging aspact is kind of a loss, Aging is actually quite nice..
It will give character to ur hero, I wont like my character to have legandary status and still B 18, But as i do agree they way they did in Fable TLC..
Aging 30 years overnight for using a lood of General experiance points is kinda sad.
But aging by time is more different, one game week will resolve 1 year older, With exseption of the Save scarlett robe quest Spoiler
Spoiler
When u do get locked up u will actually advance one year in age and not stay the same age becouse u did not spend any EXP points on it

Ur cha cant die of old age lol. Unless im mistaken there is a limit to the age he can reach. Once there no matter how much more u lvl his skills, he wont become any older... or i think my character might have retired at the age of 200. :p

Aging stops at 65 anyway.
And there are the ways to reduce age back to about 20 all the same.
Since that makes do difference for Hero's abilities save the portrait, it doesn't matter, IMHO.
