More oddball bugs

The strangest thing happened to me when I entered Durlags Tower (I have probably spelt that wrong, but you know where I mean), anyway, none of the text would work! When people tried to talk to me I got a dialogue box, but no text, when I found an item or spell scroll there was no accompanying text to tell me what it was! When a journal entry needed made, there was no text! made it practically impossible to complete any of the quests here. So in my journal I have the date and time of the entries, but no accompanying text. Has anybody ever seen this happen before? No other area has been affected.

Strange indeed, but that is the least of my problems, I was playing the game on my laptop and last night my laptop died, awww bless, so now my game is lost. I had just entered Cloakwood too.

Looks like a brand new restart for me, oh well.

I had a similar effect in BG2. Cause was an installation problem with mods.
Had to reinstall from the beginning. That should be no problem for you since your computer has died.
