What is the best backstab damage you have ever made..

and what is highest that can be made??..

I've heard the Dual classed sarevok theif has some HUGE backstabs

It's not exactly a backstab, but it's pretty lethal. In Athkatla, the Gates District, you'll find an Inn. Behind a picture is a small room with a Lich. I had so much fun with this. I hauled ass in there with Minsc and a mage. While Minsc stood by the chest, distrating the Lich, my mage cast Knock. Minsc grabbed the Daystar from the chest, and cast Sunray.

Needless to say, I smoked the Lich for 1078 hp hit.

Yeah.. not a backstab.. but pretty cool amount of damage..

The 1078 hp "bolt" is the effect of a successful Sunray on undead : I got the same result on Kangaxx in its lich form !

I am not sure about the exact numbers but to maximize backstab you should have a kensai/thief dualled at a very high level. Grandmastery in quarterstaff and twohanded weapon style. Use the upgraded staff of the ram and you'll probably do more than 300 on a critical hit with kai.
