The Merc (spoiler...maybe)

Post by MrRandomGuy »

Ok I haven't played the game in a while, but this thing has been bugging me for a while now and I nearly always forget about it.

When you first enter the Republic base (the one you get to by submarine,) the merc you meet in the first room (I'm not talking about the guy in the locker, there's a different topic about that) is all scared and whatnot and won't go with you. Now if you don't kill him, he just somehow vanishes from the game after you obtain the star map. You don't see him leaving with you, you don't see him on the ground dead (which would be impossible considering you killed all the crazy dudes trying to kill him.) He just isn't there anymore.

Yeah I'm a sucker for detail sometimes I know. It just bugs me that you find a live guy in the base and you don't even get to see him die or see him alive anymore.

if im not wrong(have'nt played this game for ages) he leaves after you've taken care of the big fishy thing :P wich is the reson why he did'nt leave in the first place, since there is another subship(or what ever it's called :P )or was that ship destroyd? :P

Well, you did take some time to move around the whole place... he was scared out of his wits to begin with. Who knows he hasn't gone raving mad and charged around and somehow gotten eaten by something trying to escape? as mentioned, he's no longer stuck once you've dispatched the immediate area off hostiles.

No, he's right, once you open the door, turn around and you will see that he has disappeared. I don't know why it would have been better if you could find out what happened to him or something.

Its simple. He ran towards our ship hoping to escape. As he was running he slipped, fell into the water and was eaten by a Firaxan Shark.
