Dual Weapon in Dungeon Lords.
Dual Weapon in Dungeon Lords.
I was using two swords at level 12. Reached level 13 and saved the game. When I went back into the game my character only show's one weapon in the off hand. I can not put a weapon in the primary slot. I'm playing as a Mage first tier and Battle Mage in second tier. I have no other first tier's right now. I'm running Windows XP with SP3. Have 3gb of ram and 512Mb Video Card.
Any help would be Great.

Have you been messing around with the editor? You shouldn't have been able to dual wield anything as a mage and battlemage.

Also, it would be quite a feat to achieve Marauder or Samurai class by level 12 (not impossible, but pretty near). If you edited to give yourself dual-wield abilities (which, short of some unknown glitch, you have), and then edited (again) after your last save, something similar to this has happened to me before.
The editor sometimes causes minor (very easily fixable) "glitches" upon reloading the game. What you need to do to fix this, is un-equip your secondary weapon. Then equip your primary weapon before equipping the secondary weapon again.

It seems that my grand kids have been playing tricks on there grandpa. I did not know there was a editor. Not sure what to do about the game, so I just started over. Still learning things about these types of games. Thank you for the insite. Will do a better job of tracking my game next time. Kids will be kids.
It seems that only certain weapons can be dual wielded, mainly light weapons in my experience. Does anyone know if two medium weapons can be dual wielded?
Not all the bonus' on the weapon equiped in the second slot seem to work as well. Also seems a shame I can no longer switch quickly to my bow.
Fleetious

You shouldn't be able to wield a heavy weapon in your off hand, but it wouldn't shock me to learn that there are bugs for this, especially in the early versions of the game.

I know that some greatswords and all no-dachis - all of which are heavy, supposedly two-handed weapons - can be used single-handedly in the character's main hand while wielding a light weapon that is not a sceptre in the off hand. For example, the barbtongue blades, except the Blade of Death, can be used this way.
As for 'no magical weapons in the off hand':
One of the most efficient off hand weapons is the which is a level 8 magical weapon.
Note: I've only ever had light dual wield, I've never played a Deathlord.

i was level 11 when i got samurai class. first time playing through this game to. did it just the other day right after finishing the trial of the elders (which i did at level 9) my classes were rogue/fighter then did the samurai, went back through fargrove and to skulldoon to do the hunterquest, now its stuck till i can get to the vail of ruin to do the rangerlord quest. im currently level 13, thanks to a fire drake that spawned as i was exploring the forbidden lands. kinda stuck at the moment, i need to find mara's brother, and the guy in skulldoon said he was in naga, so need to find that temple. (yes i know its most likely listed in the walkthrough but the first time through a game i try not to read walkthroughs. ruins the fun. after beating it then i'll read it all up to see what i missed)Cionaoith wrote:Also, it would be quite a feat to achieve Marauder or Samurai class by level 12 (not impossible, but pretty near).
