Unable to run BG

Just purchased and installed the 4 disc DVD collection set, containing all the PC versions of BG (BG, TotSC, SoA, ToB), but when I try to run BG I just get the start window for SoA and ToB. The only exception is if I insert the TotSC CD, but then I am asked to insert the expansion disc in my D: drive and I am back to square 1, since whatever other CD I insert I initiate SoA and ToB.

Tried to reinstall only BG and TotSC and uninstalled SoA and ToB, but now when I try to run TotSC I get the following error: "This version will only run on english operating systems!" I am an idiot with computers, so consider me confused:S

Any help would be much appreciated!

I had the same problem. Once TOSC was installed it requested an english OS - I recall a post stating that TOSC required a US version of Windows. My solution was to uninstall everything andd check each CD. I conclude that all versions will run, except TOSC, so I'm now only running three games out of four.
If someone can suggest a permanent solution I'd love to see it ....

I suggest that you try the patches here:
BioWare: BioWare Game Support
I have found that I have been able to run all of the games when they are patched correctly.
