Skills
I was curious, do skills stop being helpful after a certain level?
What I mean is: At Heavy Weapons skill lvl 5, you would unlock advanced attacks, but other than that and class requirements, does it do anything after that point?
Heavy Weapons was just an example, if possible I'd like to know about every skill.

You may want to be careful with skills and/or proficiencies that give you a hit bonus. If all those stacked bonuses combined (including a hit bonus from the type of attack your character uses) exceed the value 100, you'll hardly hit anything. For weapons, respective proficiencies of 15 are enough to allow use of all weapons in the game with no penalty.
The infamous "strike bug". Yeah, watch the "strike" stat at the bottom left of your page. Dexterity is the primary culprit of this bug. If you intend to play more than one time through with a character, only train dexterity to the minimum necessary level required for your character's class. (Every time you take an artifact to Talendor - except for the ring - you gain 3 points in each primary attribute; Strength, Intellect, Vitality, Agility, Dexterity, and Honor.)
Any percentage increases?
Does anyone know what these increases are, such as a percentage?
I.e. if something is upgraded by a level say light weapon does it increase the effectiveness by say 3% or something. If so does this percentage increase reduce the higher up the levels you go, i.e. more change going from 5 to 6 than from 19 to 20?
I found it a little annoying not knowing whether or not upgrading my proficiencies was actually improving anything.
Fleetious

No; there is no limit. Short of training Intellect to 210 (at 210, all skill advances are free), though, it is not likely that you will train any skills much higher than 12 in a regular play-through. (Of course, training Intellect to 210 would certainly not be a "regular" play-through. ) On a male elf, I believe that the 116th Intellect point (give or take a couple points) costs about 1M advance points. Getting to 210 would be a chore, to say the least.Gaurdian wrote:the highest you can upgrade any skill is too 100?
By the way, I found that there is an Influence bug, in the same vane as the Strike bug. What I found with the Influence bug, is that it seems to be that the game reads the last two numbers of the rating. That means that 99 = 99, 100 = 00, 101 = 01, 165 = 65 (think Y2K). If the Strike bug acts the same way, then all you need to do to fix it is to keep training Dexterity.
I have only noticed a difference in attack speed affected by Agility (Speed rating). If there is a difference in running speed, it probably isn't much. The Speed rating is capped at 292, and with so many rings and trinkets affecting that rating, there isn't much need to train Agility higher than is required for class advancement.
That wasn't right, sorry. My current character has 102 influence right now, and is still buying low and selling high. I wish I had paid attention to when it had hit 0 before. The thing is, it could just be that it didn't glitch this time, like it did last time (instead of reverting back to 0, it continued to 102?).Cionaoith wrote: What I found with the Influence bug, is that it seems to be that the game reads the last two numbers of the rating. Still, I expect to be able to beat the Strike bug by training Dexterity higher. My character is nearing 100 Strike, so it shouldn't be long before I know for sure. (Once I take the shield, armor, and rod to Talendor, I should have passed 100.) I have over 18M advance points saved up for when it's time to try to beat the Strike bug, and will likely be over 22M before I go to Talendor. (I'm going to Naga next, then the Tomb of Souls, and then to Talendor to turn everything in.)
I'll be sure to pay attention to exactly when I start experiencing the Strike bug, and how high I have to train Dexterity to beat it.
