A fair amount of both milk and sugar. Double-double at Tim Hortons.

I didn't drink coffee until about a year ago, and I'm pretty addicted now. Thank you, fourth year university.

Black, if at all. Generally only to keep company with my wife. Neither coffee nor tea does much for me, flavor wise, but the stronger either is, the better.

If it's good coffee... black. I like my poison pure... :p

If I'm in a place that sells low grade coffee and I'm truly desperate for a fix, I'll put some cream into it.

The only time I ever put sugar into coffee is if I'm drinking a shot of espresso.

Sugar, a quarter of it half and half and whatever additional flavors are lying around, perfect for my cheap instant.

Funny, mostly I drink it with either cream and sugar, or just sugar. Now expresso...there is a poison I'll take pure.

lol! Precisely the reverse... Maybe that we live on precise opposite ends of the country has something to do with it :D

Seriously, I'm not sure why I take sugar in my espresso. Could be the way I first had it or something. I like it with that crunchy cane sugar and a slice of lemon.

Us eastcoasters for the most part are a lot more concerned about our tea. Oooohhhhh the fuss that was raised when Timmy's switched to the pre-steeped tea around here. People around here are REALLY fussy about their tea.

Could maybe be that on the East Coast there's a closer connection to some aspects of the British heritage?
We get some of it in BC.. namely the Scotch Presbyterian, utilitarian feel of Vancouver (hard to explain and pretty off-topic, so PM me if you want further clarification ;) ) and the fake "Englishness" in Victoria that is largely built up to please the tourists.

However, when it comes to teas and coffees, we are much more part of the 'West Coast Culture.' Even with teas, you are far more likely to find various exotic blends, herbal varieties and the like than simply traditional teas.

I like green tea a lot myself. It tends to increase your state of alertness while simultaneously providing clarity and calm.
This is why I drink green tea in the evenings if I want a bit of a boost. I only drink coffee in the mornings, it ultimately makes me feel too dragged out if I drink it later in the day.

Green tea also blends very well (IMO) with mint tea. The flavours combine nicely, as do the effects, since mint tea is also both calming and stimulating.

Black. Strong. And from BIG cup.
Oh how I hate it when I visit someone (mostly relatives) and they offer coffee from those small cups. One sip and the cup is empty...

With the risk of threading into dangerous territory (in other words, getting myself banned), but have you tasted that? It's like when people say that this or that beer tastes like piss. :p :D

Oh and black coffee, latte, cappuccino, it doesn't matter. When I drink (which isn't every now and then), I take whatever I fancy at the moment.
