Little technical question...

Post by Pellinore »

I uninstalled BGII/ToB but when I did, it didn't fully uninstall. There is a .77MB "floatie" left behind. Now it says that an installation file is missing and I can neither completely uninstall nor can I reinstall. I tried searching for it in the computer but couldn't find it. Any help on getting this issue remedied would be helpful. In the bright note I was able to install the SoA bonus disk... Just not the play disks....

I had the exact same problem a couple of years ago.

Unfortunately, I can't remember how I fixed it. I may have done a de-fragmentation, or I may have completely re-formatted my computer. Sorry I can't really help. :(

You can always just do a full manual uninstall. Here's how to do it. Be careful about fiddling around in the registry, though, as deleting the wrong thing could seriously mess up your computer.

The thread that Sain linked above gives the same information, too.
