Can't talk! Help needed!

I just installed the game, and okay, I know Daeghun will ask me to take his furs to the fair and whatever.

BUT! I can see he's speaking, but no texts shows up/can be heard (apart from the one when he says he'll be going to the archery ranks). What can I do? Is there a patch?

Yep. Use the updater option located in the game launcher. I quoted this somewhere else. It comes from Obsidian's support pages;

Run the game via your Start Menu and press the "Update" button on the launcher menu.
