Unique Landscapes Pack

Post by dragon wench »

At present I am happily working my way through Morrowind, but I am thinking about installing Oblivion again at some point soon.
One of my many peeves about Oblivion is that the geography is so depressingly similar from one end of the Cyrodiil to the other.
Thus, I may add the Unique Landscape series to my next install. I have not previously used UL because I've heard it can conflict quite a lot with other mods... so I'm asking what kind of experience people have had using the series with the following:

*Unofficial patches for both Oblivion and SI
*QTP3 Redimized
*BOMRET'S TEXTURE PACK: SHIVERING ISLES (note: I would install these world texture packs first, on the assumption that they would be overwritten by UL where applicable)
*OOO (think I'll give this a whirl instead of Fran's, since it sounds as though a much more diverse world is created)
*Quest Award Leveller
*Dark UI Darn
*Robert's Male Body
*Bab Female Body
*Robert Muscular OOO Armor
*OOO Armor for BAB Users (why I'm using Bab over Robert's Female body for this install)
*Lost Spires ( I hear there's a compatability patch with UL)
*Enhanced Weather
*CoBL
*Real Lights
*Animated Window Lighting System
*Storms and Sounds
*Choices and Consequences
*Role playing Dialogues
*Enhanced Quest Roleplaying
*Lore Dialogue 300
*Borderless Cyrodiil
*Get Wet
*Lamps of Cyrodiil
*Imperial Furniture
*Real Hunger
*Real Thirst
*Symphony of Violence
*More Immersive Sounds Edited
*Ambient Town Sounds
*Cathedral Music
*Tavern Music
*Tamriel Travellers 1.3 for OOO
*Crowded Cities
*Crowded Roads
*Extended Cities Series

Now.. logically speaking, I can't see how any of the afore-mentioned mods would conflict with Unique Landscapes.. But, I have noticed that Oblivion mods often don't play as nicely together as one might expect.

Hi DW

UL should work quite well with that list. There are a ton of compatability patches for them whcih take care of most issues, just make sure your mod load order is set correctly, and the only one you should need is the Lost SPires patch (I think).

I've got all of them loaded and with the right load order it's seamless, and are a vast improvement on the original worldspaces. Some of them you can't help but stand there and admire the scenery, even with that annoying goblin trying to kill you!
There are 10 types of people in the world - those who understand binary and those who don't.
I think I think, therefore I might be.

OK, cheers Mr. Flibble!

This time I'm trying to go for a relatively small core, non-conflicting, group of mods that have a high impact, and will collectively address all of my gripes with Oblivion. (hopefully, at least)

EDIT
I'm thinking of adding to that list:
*Cobl
* Bravil Sea Domes (I know there's a patch)
*Shadowcrest Vineyard (not sure if this will work or not)
*Cyrodiil Transportation Network
*Slof's horse retextures (don't envision any problems here)
*TNR
*The book retextures
