i'm playing the game with Patch 1074, and i seem to remember that you could press F10 ingame to toggle the interface on and off. it's not working for me, so maybe i'm just mis-remembering as it's been quite awhile.
anyone have any advice for me on this?
thanks

I recently reinstalled the game on my computer along with the 1074 patch (I had originally preordered the game but never got around to finishing it).
The fullscreen mode *is* toggled with the F10 key, **BUT** it seems you have to start the game with the "Arcanum Fullscreen" icon rather than the the regular Arcanum icon (or the disk pop-up menu).
I don't think the fullscreen mode came with the original game, but with one of the official patches, so you might try going through some of the patch documentation if it still doesn't work.
I installed the latest patch and also the unofficial patch. The screen showing the F10, full screen, slipped by me and I lost it. Now I cannot get it back even though I have uninstalled, reinstalled the unofficial patch several times and have read the attached readme. I would really like to have the full screen.
Drog Blacktooth send me the following and said I could post.
The Compact-UI mode is accessed via a shortcut named "Arcanum Fullscreen" in your start > programs > sierra > arcanum menu. Also, you can simply add -fullscreen to your shortcut to achieve the same effect. E.g.
C:\Sierra\Arcanum\Arcanum.exe -fullscreen
Is there any way to run the game in windowed mode?
I know that adding -window to the shortcut does not work. I heard that it was possible to use windowed mode with the help of the high resolution mod, though I was unable to find the way. Has anyone had luck with this?

Have you tried increasing your native Windows resolution? I've found that some games respond well to this.

If that was directed at me, I have no problems running the game in full screen mode, rather, running it in windowed mode would be a preference.
As for my native Windows resolution, it's currently at 1680 x 1050.

Then that's not an issue. I just know from past experience that when windowed mode is close to or identical to full screen, a game may refuse to launch in a window.

You can't run it in a window normally; you need to use a third party program like D3DWindower.
