Desperate need of help!

Hi there, i think there's a bug in my system, i'm not really sure though, it happens that i'm stuck, You know the Mysterious Tower quest, i needed to collect 10 stones, and i have 9, then when i go to the Detective, he get's attacked, and tells me he's going to contact me and while he's away i should investigate... Well, i've investigated all the suspectes exept Leuvaarden, because when i approach him and start a conversation, there NEVER comes a dialog about me saying anything exept "How's Business?" and "Farewell" i think i've done all the quests available atm. but i'm only in trouble with this guy...Someone got a tip or help ?

I had actually already cleared him beforehand, but the quest didn't update until I had talked to him, then re-entered the city.

I'm doubting a bug.. I would recommend looking at the walkthrough with fresh eyes and see if you are missing a step.

stones

how could you possibly have 9 stones ?
you cant get the 8th until youve cleared everyone and the detective will give you that.
the last one comes from golem the head centry after you kill him.
also dont start applying them until you have 9 sometimes it cofuses the game

Simple to get 9 Stones. Simply kill the Golem before talking to the "detective".
