Go to the Darkwood.Locate the area between 2 caves where there is murky water you can run round in a circle.
In there you will see two balls of what looks like blue lightening.(These are sprites of some kind you can kill with the lightening spell or arrows.
However! Don't kill them straight away.I know they are anoying as they keep giggling. (turn the volume off) Play on they summon hobbes who in turn will throw out bags of money and lots of green energy balls for you to grab.
I repeat the process often.
I noticed it last night and felt like sharing it. I am sure there are quicker and easier ways, but this way I found easiest.
One of those easier ways include exploiting the trade system of Fable. Buy the same type of item in bulk from shopkeepers and then sell them all to someone who has zero of that item type in his inventory. Then, immediately buy all them back. Rinse and repeat. Soon you will have more money than you know what to do with. Works best with expensive, stackable items such as gems or potions.

The money bags are also very close to Grey House.There are also some red sprites in the game I came across in one wooded area.Another is next to Orchard Farm.
