"master parry" and "wall of blades" are both useless in this PC Game.
I think it comes from Pen & Paper Trpg, but unfortunately this pc game designer can not implement this combat maneuvers effectively.

If you fight against MOB, you will find how useless they are.
There is a rule one character can parry or dodge only one time in a combat round. The character who uses master parry parries 1st attack and that will success automatically. but for 2nd ,3rd ... he can do nothing.
So if your character have enough DV value your character will avoid single attack that is avoidable. (you don't need to activate master parry)
To pay Exp to get this tree is waste of exp.

So your character should carry 1H+shiled/2H and switch thme on the situation.
Roundhouse enemies with Heavy 2H weapon will be fun.

If you want to take 2H only style, your Sapper should wear Heavy Armor and have High CN & ST.
High AR prevent actual damage, CON resists many bad status, STR resists Knock down.
