I have completed the de'Arnise hold quest some time ago and I now want to go back and get the Elven Court Bow (I think that was it's name) and kill that adamantine golem I could not possibly kill when I did the quest; it was early game and my party was still weak. Of course, at this point, I probably have no use for the bow and the XP from killing that golem won't level up anyone  but I must do it! It's a matter of pride and a need of the sense of completion! I wanna make that golem pay for scaring me off the last time :mischief:!
Anyway, I never lowered the bridge at the front gate when I did the original quest - I just killed everyone off myself! - and now, the side entrance is no longer available. It shows up on the map but when I move my cursor where it 'should' be, I get nothing. I can't find it. Is there anything I could download and install, perhaps, that would make me able to lower the bridge? I have noticed there are alot of 'cheats' created for this game and this wouldn't really be a dishonest way of using one, I think .
Any thoughts? Any other way to get inside? All help would be appreciated, thank You.
P.S. This is the first time I post in these forums and if I'm am posting it in the wrong place, please forgive me and kindly report to an admin so they may move it to it's correct section. D.S.

There is an answer in this thread, but unfortunately you can't return without cheats.

Also if Nalia dies during the quest or if you kill her yourself then the quest doesn't have a real conclusion and you can return at any time, but monsters still spawn inside.

Yes, there is a cheat of course, but I think the golems and the powerful stuff they guard is not here anymore.
And another option is that:
-do everything as stated in the first quote
-then CTRL+SPACE and write down CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("ARXXXX")
Instead of ARXXXX, insert one of these:
AR1301 - De'Arnise Dungeon
AR1302 - First Floor
AR1303 - 2nd Floor
You'll be teleported to the chosen area no matter where you currently are.
Have fun
Open the file baldur.ini in the root of your Baldur's Gate II directory with Notepad. Add the line:
Debug Mode=1
under [Program Options]. You may wish to make of copy of baldur.ini before you change it, because Baldur's Gate II may no longer run properly if there is an error in this file.
When you are playing Baldur's Gate II, press CTRL-SPACE to open the console window at the bottom of the screen. From here, you can enter a cheat code.
This cheat should be useful for you, just move pointer somewhere inside the castle and press CTRL+J.[CTRL]-J - Teleports selected characters to pointer position

IIRC all the items and golems are gone after you have completed the quest. This is because the game replace the old hold maps with new ones after completing the quest, and the new maps don't hold the items anymore.

Whilst that's true Kipi, the original maps should still be as they were when he/she left, and I believe the area codes that Lopov gave are the correct ones for those maps.
