Goblin question

Post by elephantman »

1. When u enter the goblin cave, and go down the shaft u meet some goblins. What the the first VALVE to when u turn it?
the first valve being the one u encounter when u go down the shaft. it's where u can get the electric gun.

2. Does the dungeon in the swamp have any significance? the dungeon/ basement near the entrance to the goblin cave.

3. all i've done is purify the temple in the graveyard. is there anything else that needs to be done b4 i go into the goblin cave?

thanks

You seem to be in the exact same place in the game as I am... I just got into the Goblin Cave about 40 minutes ago :)

I walked out the majority of the Swamp map, and other than the Purifying the Temple quest, there is no other quest to be found. There is an NPC in one house, and a shop in another (look for the "Potions" sign), however.

The dungeon under the swamps doesn't seem to have anything other than the obvious, though I might have missed something. I tried clicking on all the statues, but couldn't find any secret areas.

The first valve in the Goblin Caves (I assume you are talking about after the elevator, because there is a valve to take the elevator down) is used to turn off the green gas that is coming out of a pipe, so that you can pass safely (a la Crusader: No Remorse :) ).

If the valves do not activate an elevator, then they are used to turn off/on the broken pipes in the caves.

Be fore warned that the broken pipes leak an acid gas cloud that has a tendency to damage characters...
losing brain cells every toke...

That other dungeon/basement thing is sort of a trap, depending how you approached it..

My first party were just moseying along when Boom, the ground gave way and half my party fell into that place. Kinda nerve wracking considering the healers got left up top :)

Most folks I've talked to didn't encounter that part though, they simply walked in through the entrance and as such were left wondering what the place is for. Besides scaring the folks that fall through the roof, I don't think it has any purpose.

There's one other place besides the shop, npc, aforementioned dungeon, and graveyard, that may be of interest. In one corner, along the edge where Dark Forest and Eastern Swamp meet, there is a sort of garden with a boss-type witch. It doesn't have any quest or story type thing, but there are some chests with goodies in them.

Ya, that trap was really a pain in the behind. When I went to run to the Life Shrine, i hit it, but with only ONE character  Luckily it was my tank :)

That dungeon isn't very big though. By the time I found how to get the rest of my chars down, I had cleared out the dungeon with my tank :)
