Cliffs of Fire

Post by elephantman »

Where is the cliff of fire?

I got to the Fortress Kroth, then I went to the Droog village and next to the village, there is a cave with some green drakes. I then completed the dragon quest and killed the dragon that had 20,000+ HP. I know how to get to Castle Ehb but the signs that point to the Cliffs of Fire are misleading.

Am I missing a secret passage way? Is the Cliff of Fire a side quest?

Are all the best armour found in the shops throughout the game? How about weapons and shields? I want to get rid of my mule but i'm worried that some good stuff might come up in the chests and off the monsters. I have 2,000,000 + gold.

How do I increase INT? Merik can't use his staff. His INT is at 23.

The cliffs of fire is the area around and the droog village, you will never actually see anyt burning cliffs.

Yep, the best stuff is found in shops on veteran and elite difficulty.

Int is raised by damaging enemies with spells, the more damage, the more int you get.

I found it most amusing that Merik could not use his own "Staff of Warding". I probably would not have found it so funny if my character had not been a combat mage with enough INT to use the staff.

I did not use my mule much after entering Castle Ehb. I was also maxed on gold.

First, I don't remember Merik having any problems equiping his staff, I never used it for combat, it was strictly magic use...

Hell, both of my mages used only spells for combat...

As for the mule, I used it thru the whole SP game, and after the castle it is kinda worthless...
losing brain cells every toke...

Hippy:

What we're referring to is that when you free Merik from the ice his INT is at a level (21) that makes using the Staff of Warding (his) impossible. If you use Merik primarily as a healer, (Healing Wind) his INT does not level up fast enough by the time you retrieve his staff for him to be able to use it.

It's amusing because I was assuming that he was able to use the staff before he was trapped. :)
