having trouble with map

So my computer started acting wierd and I had to reinstall Dungeon Siege. Before I had to reinstall it, everything worked fine, now for whatever reason, I can't access the map. Anytime I try to access the map, I get a big brown screen with a big black box in the center of it. It would be really helpful to have the map feature back. I've tried to fix this problem by reinstalling it again, a couple times, but to no avail.
Any suggestions? :confused: Thanks in advance! :D

Maps

If you did not uninstall before reinstalling then you have a corrupted file. Using Explore go to the DS folder and click down untill you see the uninstall program for DS and exicute. Do not select to erase your saved games.
