Just got Dungeon Siege...how do I create a multiplayer game assigned to me?

Just got Dungeon Siege...how do I create a multiplayer game assigned to me?

It says I can have up to 8....so how do I start a game and create two or more characters all assigned to me to play the game?

Followers

You just talk to the person as you meet them. Some cost money but there are some that have no cost. A mule is considered a follower.
