Hey, I was thinking of building a Defense/Smite pally, like maxing holy shield, and defience, plus smite...but i would have more skills left over....maybe i should do zeal...wut do u guys think?

conviction is always nice, and so is the aura that gives +res. if you switch between them you can at times get the effect of two auras which is kinda nice..... you might also want to have a look at thorn, but then again you are not ment to be hit at all.....

If you want to, you could just for the heck of things put it into holy fire because that can be rather helpful for annoying creatures in the beggining of the game.

Anyway, that is just a thought.

so you want a def/smite pali? Well you will get great def and maybe the resistance u need but the offencive power just isnt there sure u can stun guys and knock them back but if u do that your going to be more useful as a decoy then anything else.dont get the holy fire aura its usless later in the game. u can only take one guy at a time with smite, is that a good idea? dont u want to take a group of monsters and turn them into cole slaw. i dont know i never wanted to be cannon fodder i just want to massacre its up to you but i dont suggest the holy fire aura just to make things easier to kill in norm difficulty.

def/smite well smite's ok for a meat shield so let sorcs do the killing but if u want to kill stuff and i think most of the paly players here may agree with me HAMMERS is good when maxed

no the only way to make a good pali is a zealer or zealot as some ppl call it. hammers are to cheap in my opinion.u have to stand in one place and make your enemy come to you wut fun is that?
