I'm new at this game so perhaps I'm doing something wrong but I'm having problems with 2 of my spells. 1) My healing hands spell will only work once. Like when my mule goes unconscious and wakes up I can heal him once for about 1/4 life but I can't get my healing hands to work at all after that. I'm clicking on the spell and then clicking on the target (my mule). Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong? And 2) I just increased in level and am able to use my Summon Giant Rat (or something like that) spell but I can't get it to work. I put it in one of my 2 spell slots to use on the main screen but when I go to click it like I do with all my other spells nothing happens. Do I have to be in battle or something? Any help would be appreciated. I'm still learning all the little things about the game and I'm sure I'm going to miss some things.

Healing
Healing Hands works only when its in one of two active spell slots. Unless changes have been made to action keys they are 3 and 4. So to help a character heal it must be in an active spell slot. If you want to force a heal hold your cursor over the character to be healed and press the "C" key. This should solve your healing problem.
Summoning is done the same way, use the spell scroll keys ("Y" or "U") bring the spell to be summoned into an active slot. Point your cursor anywhere on the ground and press the "C" key. Have fun.
