i forget what its called cause its been a long while since ive played but it was a wolf helm for druids and added to werewolf werebear and summon wolf spells...too bad i was dum enough to sell it for white armor

A BOTD bow is equal to WF if i remember right.

For my strafeazon WF is much better then BOTD.
btw, is it possible to get ethereal uniques? If so a eth. WF with Zod would be best.

Personally, when i was a noob playing this Havoc Scratch was my favourite sword and i kept that blade for a loooooong time. Until i was playing on the net and happened to stumble upon a guy who wanted to fight with his new Grandfather Sword, so i killed him and took his sword

It has to be by far my favourite sword and probably one of the best(IMO)

heh, i was joking about the gull being the best weapon in the game, but dont underestimate it. its great for MF barbs. you beat meph down with your grandfather and stormshield, then when he has almost no life left you switch to double gulls...cranks your mf up by 200%. add a shako, skulders etc, you're looking at some decent MF

ik and tals are not uniques i would have to say an upgraded bonesnap is a far better weapon for those how have a hard time to find a good weapon.

Bows have no durability; as a result, there are no ethereal bows. A windforce is a great bow for many bowzons. But because of the specialization one can create with characters, it's not the best bow for all zons. A zon that specializes in using elemental bow skills might consider using an upgraded lycanders aim or even the entire mavina set.
This is the problem with questions like the one for this thread...there are simply to many character variations to make the blanket statement of a "best" weapon. Noober's suggestion of an ethereal zod Death Cleaver would probably rank at the top of many melee characters tho.

Well, the best weapon my Barabrian managed to have so far is "Malice"... He is a 44th level barbarian specialised only in Polearms I use Scythes only. Currently he is using a 30000 GP worth War Scythe... Two sockets with a Perfect Saphire and A Perfect Emerald. 10-14 cold damage, +10 to AR, +4 to minimum damage, +31% enhanced damage... Not much, but I'm not giving up unitl I have "Grim's Breath of the Dying" in a Elite Scythe!

A good weapon for those who want melee speed is horizons scourge. its what me zealot uses and he doesnt have much problems cleaning out an act in hell

the best weapon i have had was.

A maul (+150% dam undead, Life and mana drain per hit, Poison damage per hit, +50% attack rating.)

im not saying its the best weapon cos i already know it isnt, im saying its the best weapon iv'e ever had.

what do you think???

Couldn't agree more. There is no one best weapon in the game, as there are so many different viable builds. If I had to say which weapon I've had the most use out of it'd be an upped Ribcracker for Melee characters and a HotO for casters.

an upgraded ribcracker still doesnt have enough damage and stats to help with some of the more difficult monsters. if your going melee i would say upgraded azurewrath. not as damaging as a lightsaber but its faster. a barb with 2 of these rocks. and this thread is only for uniqe weapons not runeword weapon combos. we have already stated this. i should know i got hit with it first

Hmmm Jade Talon & Bartuc is definately good, found a very cool high lvl unique pike which does pretty hellish magic damage, (forgot the name) whatever those super unique specialist amazon javalins are called, lets just say WOW, have a pretty useful and skill enhancing dagger for my old necro, and the rest I use is the complete char sets, but the uniques are great.

Fair enough on the runeword

How would you upgrade an azurewrath???? The elite version of the sword is a Phase Blade, there is nothing to upgrade it to?

and as for the ribcracker, you're joking right? A high end Ribcracker (over 250%), upgraded to Stalagmite will give you a damage in the range of 330-493 (411.5 avg). As far as 2 handed weapons go, how many are there that will give you an average damage of over 400?

Lol, who uses two-handed weapons now? Either way, a Cruel Colossus Blade of Evisceration socketed with three 40/15's is better by far.

Anyway my revised list to top weapons that can better then runewords:

Eth Death Cleaver
Windforce
Eth Titan's Revenge
The Redeemer
Astereon's (sp?) Ward

im still partial to the eth thunder maul with the runeword Breath of the Dying. Such an insane weapon. dont have stats on it, but the last one i had did over 1000 max damage before all the other little bonuses including a 50% chance to cast poison nova. people laugh at the nova, but it makes a difference when you're fighting 10 guys at once. even if it only does a coupla hundred damage to each one, thats still a coupla hundred damage x 10 guys
