Your least favorite class
I think my least favorite class would be the paladin. A paladin is part warrior and part healer. Unlike the priest who contains both light and darkness powers. The paladin only has light and warrior abilites. The darkness powers is part of the appeal of the priest. I don't think I would want a class that is a mix between a warrior and a priest, not really better at either of those classes then the warrior or priest is. If there is one class I won't play until I play the others it's the paladin... wannabe warrior. =P
I don't mind if people say that the warrior is their least favorite class. I understand if it is.

I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel alright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.
I may be bad, but I feel good.

I don't really know as yet but I'm guessing it will be the druid, canät really say though as I haven't played the game so I'm not viting as yet...

Well the only 2 classes I've tried myself are the priest and warrior.

My vote is for the paladin...I'm not into the goody-goody, can't-do-any-wrong kind of characters. I wouldn't like the fact that I couldn't have any fun and had to play honorably. It's just not my style. I say kill or be killed and that's why I would choose the rogue -or any other class- over the paladin any day.
So I offer you respect, and it will take much for you to lose it. But if you do, if you choose to see it as weakness and seize upon your perceived advantage, well...perhaps I'll then let you talk with Guenhwyvar.

The first char that I'm gonna try to bring up to level 60 is going to be a night elf shadow priest. I*ve always like to play the necromancer in D2 and I think that being an party only character can be very fun. I should however be able to deal some damage and hence solo. Also I think that the shadow meld will come in handy when hiding from enemies.
Being a priest does not appeal much. Your only function in a group will be healing. Soloing will be difficult. You can't have any pets.
Besides that, I don't like religious fanatics.
Actually you couldn't be more wrong. Priests have NO trouble soloing, actually no class does have trouble. All classes can have pets, but only a warlocks and hunters pets are combatable.
Priests have temp shield spells to keep them from taking damage.
They have healing spells if they end up taking any damage, it can all be undone with one healing spell.
Not to mention they have MANY shadow damage dealing spells.
They can hypnotize enemies to do their bidding.
Or scare away enemies into submission.
As well as burn away mana from other spell casters.
However since a warrior would take less damage then a priest, a priest would have to cast heal less in combat and would work best with a warrior or something. Of course the main idea of a priest is to have many different healing spells to keep a party alive during a big fight which every party needs a healer, because bosses deal a lot of damage fast. As a priest my battles aren't really longer then any other class that solos. You don't have be a good priest, also. Good is reserved for the paladin. Even the undead can be priests or shadow priests like my human guy.

Allright, you seem to make a good point, and I think it is backed by in-game experience, which is something I am lacking at the moment. Still, the priest class seems to me the class with less special characteristics than the other classes. I think I feel the same about warriors and mages... too specialized.

Well it takes strategy to play this RPG, which is why I like it so much. So you can have endless hours of fun playing classes like the priest or the warrior, because it really does take strategy. You have to choose your talents right or else you won't get the full effect out of your class.
When I was at the WoW beta forums I would always hear some people say that a duel-wielding warrior is better then a two-handed weapon warrior and the two-handed weapon users would say the same thing about duel-wielding, but in truth neither does more damage then the other. It depends on which talents, abilities, and battle stances you use that determines how much more damage you do when you use either a two-handed weapon or duel-wielding or a shield.
