Diablo II slang...
What do all those names in Diablo II mean?! Names of different runs, Hammerdim or whatever that means or is spelled... Sometimes I find myself going thgrough some diablo II sites and wondering, what the hell does all that mean?! Help?
There once was a beast over seven hills and seven seas... One day the beast walks out and says "Shit man! Look where I live!"
There are many different character builds, and they get names according to the skills they use, or sometimes according to a specific weapon they use. A Hammerdin is a Paladin who focus on the skill Blessed Hammer. A Meteorb is a sorc who combine Meteor and Frozen orb. An amazon using bow is called Bowazon, one using javelins is called Javazon, one using spear is called Spearazon. A Frostmaiden is an Bowazon who focus her skills on Freezing Arrow, a Strafezon is one who focus on Strafe, a Speedazon is one who focus on shooting as many arrows in as short time as possible by using equipment with a lot of IAS (attack speed, decides how many attacks you to per frame in the game). A Trapsin is an Assassin using traps, a Kicksin is an Assassin focusing on the Martial Arts skillstree. There is a large number of different builds.
A run is when you or your party do a quick in-kill monster-fetch items-quit game and restart. Regarding runs, there are Cowruns (secret cow level), Mephruns (The Act 3 boss), Baalruns (the Act 5 boss) etc, usually named either after the monster you run. Runs are sometimes names after the area, like Cowrun, or something else you are after, like Runerushes (rushing to the Hellforge).
There is also a lot of slang, acronyms and abbreviations around for specific items, such as IK=Immortal King set, WF=Windforce (unique hydra bow), 3D shield (a socketed shield with 3 perfect diamonds for resistance). You'll quickly get used to it when you start reading Diablo II forums.

@Nihilanth: Aha, I see.
