need more help

well I'm looking for help on the Black mushroom quest, I was looking at a walk through and I saw that there is a place in lvl 9 that you can find a fungal tome that needs to be taken to Adria, then a black mushroom will apear in lvl 9.

the question is where the hell is this tome?????? i have been all over lvl 9 and I can't find such a thing.

You don't always get all quest, I think that instead of getting the black mushrooms you sometimes get Griswold's edge. If you really want to do the back muchroom quest you should start a new game with the same character and hope that you are luckier that time around.
