Help Router Problems

Post by Kovia »

I run a ORIGO FC-AL2014PW (Model number) Router, I searched on google for "Dungeon Siege Multiplayer Router" and it came up with this

http://support.microsoft.com/default.as ... -us;320020

I added the 2 ports at the bottom that it says are needed and now i can connect to games fine, but the problem Ihave is i cant host cause my router hides my true ip with a 10.xxx.xxx.xxx ip address and Dungeon Siege sees the routers ip not my true ip, if i type in http://196.0.0.1 it does nothing, just tells me page cannot be displayed and it says the same if i type in http://10.xxx.xxx.xxx I have searched everywhere on the internet and I cannot find anywhere that tells me how to configure this, someone help me plz

Router

Did you enable both incomming and outgoing on your router? Plus did you go to the site of the router's manufacturer? If log on to the router site you might get the help you need.

all you need to do is forward the DP port the game uses in the router. it is UDP port 6073 according to the firewall link above. also I seen other possible ports to forward. 2302 - 2400 but your router only does 20 at a time so you'll have to do 2303-2325 and then make a second entry for 2326-2350, then 2351-2375, then 2375-2400. But test with just port 6073 and remember, only UDP port. It also says to use UDP port 2300 for ZoneMatch.

This link says your router is the same as the SR-8400

This link is how to forward ports on the ASR-8400. it uses the virtual server section.
http://www.portforward.com/origo/asr-8400-portforwarding.htm

Here's a couple examples:
ID will be 1 or the next open one. it's just a refernce number, start port will be 6073, end port will be 6073(there is just 1 port to open), private port will be 6073 (we don't want to change it, just pass it through) port type will be UDP, IP address will be 10.0.0.2 or whatever IPCONFIG tells you.

to find your IP Address click on start--> Accessories--> Command Prompt. Then a dos window will come up and just type the command IPCONFIG and then press enter and it will print your address.

and don't forget to use the firewall link above to make sure to forward all the ports you need in the router.

Hope this helps
