Wands don't need ammunition, but instead of using the "attack" button you need to use "shoot", which should be located somewhere in your spell/ability-book.
Just drag it to the quickbar and your new wand should work fine. ;)
I hope they mention this in the manual once the game is released, this confused me (and lots of other players) too when I first tried to use a wand.

Pretty sure only spellcasters use wands, and that they use mana to fuel them, albeit very little.

They don't need any ammunition, yaa! but don't get speed bonuses from quivers, boo..

Just equip it to your ranged weapon slot, and all should be good.

I don't think they use mana.... atleast when I'm all out of mana I can always use my good old wand to shoot dark bolt at a pestering Murloc or two...

@Xan, I think only spell catsers can have wands and they get that skill for free when you start.

It does :) , I made that assumption because you where using a sword which I thought only fighting classes could wield.

Warlocks are sweet.

As for the mana thing, you're right. I tried it with 0 mana, and it still shot.

Does it take longer to shoot or have a lower dps than ranged weapons with ammunition.
