Diablo II help needed

Post by racing_lady1945 »

Hi, playing Diablo II before I can play expansion pack and I am in the spider forest, where is the waypoint there! Playing as an amazon, on quest three, just got to docks and have finished the quest but logged off before I found the waypoint. I just can't seem to find it anywhere, thanks.

hello and welcome to GB :)

If you scroll down on the forum list, you will se a forum called Diablo II... D2 related questions should be posted there ;)

as for an answer, just look around. the maps change each time you start a new game, so it will be hard to help. but it is there somewhere, so just keep looking, or move on to next waypoint

(fast reply eh? :p )

I'm going to move this over to the Diablo forums. You'll get some better help there :)

The jungle areas in act 3 are possibly the most confusing in the game. I don't know if you have tried this yet, but you can bring up the outline map of the area you are exploring if you press the tab key iirc. If you haven't done this yet, this will help you find your way around. Other than that, all I can suggest is retracing you steps to make sure you didn't miss any "village" entrances.

Diablo II thanks

Hi thanks, found it finally, now I can't find the big jungle but know it's somewhere. Using map outline, that helps. Thanks again, racinglady (especially for really fast reply) :)

Another trick with the map is that after you have brought it up, you can move it around using arrow keys. This saves you from having to walk around, instead you move the map until you find an unexplored area, and then move towards it.
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.

Diablo II map question please

Hi, thanxs for that neat trick, I'm going to use it, was going to post that for the life of me I cannot find Flayer Jungle. I have been all over the marsh and then some, have quit the loot, I found waypoint, I just can't find it. I'll try the map idea you gave me. I know things are in different places for everyone, I thought according to a map I have it was down from waypoint, but read it was by the spider cavern. Again, thanxs for the tips, racinglady :)

Most maps are random, but iirc the spider forest waypoint is always next to the Arachnid Lair, not the Spider Cavern ;)

Please!!!!more help!!

Hi guys, never had this problem it's the Flaver Jungle I am looking for, have first three waypoints, docks of course, spider forest, and finally found marsh, not even looking for waypoint at this time but the flayer jungle itself, is it somewhere off great marsh, if so I need better glasses, or by spider forest? Help please tired of these pygmies. I know where two caves are, cavern and lair, maybe I should go there first. thanks for your patience again, old racing lady (hydroboats)

Hi Racing lady and welcome to the forum :) The jungle in Act 3 is everybody's hate-area I think! Mostly, you reach the Flayer Jungle from Great Marsh, but sometime the area is generated so that you reach it directly from Spider Forest. If you play on Bnet, the map is rerolled randomly every time you start the game. If you play single player, I you keep the same map every time until you change difficulty level (Normal, Nightmare, Hell).

No jungle ready to scream

 Hi, I can't find the darn jungle! I am playing solo, and believe the map is always the same. I'll try again, been to both lair and caverns (spider place) thinking the entrance would be around there but no. I'll just keep trying, thanxs racinglady

Exploring tricks...

One trick I have found that works for me is to stay to the outside of the area. When in a dungeon, both the stairs down and the waypoint (if there is one) is always on the outside edge of the dungeon. The way it works is to always turn the same direction. If you start out going to the left, stay going to the left. Eventually you will find the stairs, or you will complete the circle. The only exception to this rule that I have found is the sewers under the Bazaar in act 3.

If you are in Kurast Bazaar, then you are right. It will not be as difficult to find your way elsewhere in the game, I promise!

Mephisto's soulstone should've been dropped by him when you defeated him back in Act 3. If you can't find it in your backpack, cube or stash, you'll have to go back and kill Mephisto again. After you got the soulstone, put it in your backpack and go to the Hellforge. The Smith will drop the hammer after you kill him. Equip the hammer, place the soulstone on the Hellforge and strike it with the hammer until you see big yellow sparks and a "quest completed" sign.

Place the soulstone on the Forge by clicking it and dragging the stone, then equip the Hammer in your weapon slot (if it's red, make sure you meet the Strength, Dex or level requirements!) and strike the forge. :)
