Bastila and Revan Fans: How would you want to have them back in KotOR III?
I know it's a weird question, but for those who love to have Bastila and Revan return, HOW would you want them to return?
---------------------------------
1) As playable characters?
OR
2) As NON-playble characters?
---------------------------------
Personally, I would like them BOTH to come back as PLAYABLE characters!
Reasons:
1) I want to be Revan again soooooo badly!!! (I don't think I am alone in this).
2) If Revan is a NON-playable character in KOTOR III, the next "Exile" (or whatever your next character will be) may have to battle and kill Revan. I DO NOT WANT TO KILL REVAN! Whatever you do, please please please don't let the "next exile" kill Revan!!!
3) If Revan is a NON-playable character and Bastila does return, you folks will NOT be able to romance with her (I'll be very disappointed ). Since Bastila has given her heart to Revan, the "next exile" can't possibly romance with her! (Same to Carth if you played Revan as a female). -- of course, this assumes that you did romance with Bastila/Carth, and I think alot of people did .
-------------------------------
I know it may sound difficult (since some body has pointed out that Revan might have been too powerful to start out fresh at the beginning of the game). However, we can always work around it. Here is a suggestion. Howabout letting us start out fresh just like KOTOR II? Then, as the game progresses, Revan will join our party and become a playable character? (You can put a restriction for Revan's participation. For example, Revan will not join your party until your "next exile" is at least level 15 or 20. Make the next level cap at 70 or so, and make the next bosses harder - hence, longer game play )
Once Revan joins your party and becomes a playable character, Bastila will also agree to join your party and become a playable character as well (bring Carth or Atton back if it pleases the ladies )
That way, every body is satisfied. You'll have Revan, Bastila, Carth, etc. back, and you don't have to worry about the "starting-out-as-Revan-is-too-power" problem.
-----------------------
One side note, if you are interested in the Romance part between Revan/Bastila or Revan/Carth, please just make sure that you can only romance with Bastila or Carth if your current main character is Revan. If your current main character is not Revan, then the romance option will be unavailable. It is only available if you select Revan as your current main character.
-----------------------
That's my idea for now. Please, contribute more ideas, guys and gals. If we want our favorite characters to come back, we need to put in some ideas. Fight, folks, fight for the return of Darth Revan!!!
----
P.S. I would be very dissappointed if Bastila is back, and I won't be able to romance with her (I don't think that I am alone in this either ). So, one little tiny request from your die-hard fan: please, bring both Revan and Bastila(possibly Carth) back as playable characters so we can romance.
In the end, it would be awesome to see the "little Revan" (as a result of the relationship between Revan/Bastila or Revan/Carth in KOTOR III, isn't it? (I think I am going too far now)

Its difficult to bring Revan into that role, because he is away where no-one knows, with the exception of Traya (dead), the Exile, Bastila/Carth, and the two droids (T3 wouldn't talk about it unless he knew he could, and HK's is lost somewhere inside him I imagine).
Bastila should definitely return. And as a playable character, at least for a time.
I definitely think your party should be a lot more dynamic. People just seem to join you left right and centre and just follow you around. Party members need to have their own agenda's, either in-line with yours and crossing over it. For example, one of them might be a personal friend who would follow you around the whole game, whereas one might just be a Jedi assigned to a specific mission, or someone just helping you out for that mission.

Not to darken the mood or anything.. But since both games were very open to what you could do... And how in KotoR II you picked if Revan was male/female evil/good.. I would say yeah bring them back sure.. BUT Have that an option... So you could get either Sith Lord Revan or Jedi Master Revan. Or the other classes. But my point would be have a new jedi character.. Serving the 'new' jedi.. Maybe have it more like missions then a set goal.. Or missions and then some large plot opens up and the jedi that helped on these missions go away.. and you find new people in the main plot line.. Like Revan and the others. I like the idea where someone joins for only so long or till you help them with something.. I think that if... Whoever made it ((Its late....)) took some time to talk to people KotoR III would be a smash onto the other games.. Though I love them both don't get me wrong here I just played one again.. 32 hours.. and then II for 23 hours But yeah.. More like a "We need you to do this" then have either one or two friends will pop on to help you.. Then one gets busy and can't come.. you know.. more real life-like.

@Nephthys Shadow - If you were referring to me (I believe you were), I was seriously considering writing up a lot of the really good ideas and my own personal "requests" (demands!) and submitting them. Most of them are very general gameplay enhancements such as that one, but also a few storyline ideas, and characters returning etc.

o.k, why would you guys want to play as Revan? You guys know that even if you could play as revan again, then you couldn't be a sith lord or a jedi master? Think of it, they would make you tp uber. And think of it you'll just stand around in some ship and say two lines of things if your a sith lord, but if your a jedi master, you'll sit in a round chair and say two lines of things. BOORING really if you ask me.

I said it before, and I'll say it again: I don't think Revan or Bastila should return. Those ships have sailed. If we have to see old characters, we can take 1-2 from the first game, 1-2 from the second, and the rest need to be all-new characters. There can be mention of Revan and Bastila in the third game, but they don't need to be in it.
*If* they have to be in it, they shouldn't be playable characters. I mentioned something like that before about Revan joining up with you like the Mandalorian in the Dxun forest who helps you take out the Onderon scouts. You go one way, Revan goes the other, and you don't get to see what s/he does to them and can't judge what side of the Force s/he is. Or something like Jolee: just have Revan use a lightsaber to kill whatever, then you talk to him/her. Frankly, if Revan comes back, it'll be as a neutral Jedi (like Jolee or Kreia). Or Revan (or even Bastila) will be "hidden," much like the appearance of Visas, Mandalore, and Kreia were "hidden." So they may join us, and they may fight with us, but we won't "know" who they really are until later in the game. But because they're such high levels by the end of KotOR I, it would give you a distinct advantage everywhere in KotOR III the moment you get them (unless they lost their memories, in which case someone must die for that over-used plot), and the game would be no fun. The same pretty much would go for the Exile.

Yeah, some of the jedi like that shoulden't return in the game, and if they will return they shouldn't even be playable cahrs, I agree with you. I really didn't like playing as the ex sith lord of the sith, almost no respect and a whole lot of things, I just don't get why people want to play as the same char as they did in the first of the trilogy.

The idea of being a Padawan under another Jedi might still work. Maybe--MAYBE--you can be a Padawan under Bastila, but that requires the fact that you chose Revan to be a Jedi male (maybe you don't have to kill her if you chose Revan as a female, I don't know). That limits everything you chose in the first two games, so having Bastila at all just complicates everything.

I got some ideas
Ok I have a few problems. Like Darth Zenemij said you can't have them as playable characters because they are uber strong by now. I mean common assuming that KOTOR III doesn't start as soon as 2 ends then it would have been like 10 years after Revan and Bastilla go off on thier mission to find the Star Maps. I mean I loved those characters and like any good game/movie the first was the best. Ok basically how I see it is in KOTOR III you are either a new Exile of somekind or the Exile of 2. Either case you are going to be fighting the True Sith. My money is on Revan being dead in KOTOR III. I think that they need not ask the stupid thing of "were they fe/male LS/DS?" I think they should have the character creation screens of KOTOR I&II to make you choose how Revan & Exile should look. It would just be easier. They could have a quick movie in the beginning to catch you up before you make you and the other 2 but make you decide before gameplay what the story is going to be. There are a few reasons why KOTOR has been such a good game experience. It is because it didn't have to work around the whole Star Wars (Episode IV) movie. I think that if they are going to do any more in this series after KOTOR III they need to set ground rules. I mean say that Revan was Female DS and Exile Male LS. I think that KOTOR III will be directly based on KOTOR II so I'm not expecting much. I just think the next one could be based a few hundred years after in order to not have to worry about problems of this KOTOR time.

Bao-Dur: I think he wanted us to give up the Genreal to his poorly trained collection of bounty hunters.
Atton: Ah. well that would explain it. Which one do you want?
Bao-Dur: I'll take the stupid one who decided to threaten us rather than shoot us when he had the chance.
