Actually, I've never heard anyone who had problems with defeating King Leoric. Exactly what is happening to you? Which class are you playing? Do you have enough healing potions?

King leoric is from Diablo 1 and down the dungeon. He is a Giant skeleton with a crown that has a pretty cool effect. King Leoric isn't in diablo 2.
How to kill him, hammer his skeletons with charged bolts and then attack him how you please when you finish off the skeletons. Trust me, when the skeletons are dead, he is MUCH easier.

As siberys said, it will be easier to kill his skelotons first. Make sure that you have plenty of healing potions, and it will be a heck of a lot easier if they are dead, after you kill the skelotons, I would suggest to use some kind of bow to kill him, trap your self in a place where he can't get into and start shooting bows like crazy.
