News
(crying)

Hi Chris,

Actually, we are not currently working on KOTOR III. Since the title is published and owned by LucasArts, they might have better information as to whether the game is in development and when it might be released.

Sincerely,

Feargus Urquhart
CEO
Obsidian Entertainment, Inc.

I'd be lying if I said I wasnt crying right now.

Well oh well, it doesn't matter when they're going to make it, but only if they even are.

Yeah, Obsidian didn't even do the first one. It's likely LucasArts found another party to do number 3.

I've heard (RUMORS!) that Obsidian and Bioware might make this one together when they actually get started on it so we'll just have to wait and see.

Why would it be "most likely"? KotOR was done by BioWare and KotOR2 by Obsidian... Two games, two devs. :)

Never fret, KotOR is a strong franchise with a third chapter to complete. They will make it and they will make their money.

I say most likely because it would appear that Obsidian took over KOTOR so they would most likely finish it.

Yup - I think Bioware had another project in the pipe and so couldn't allocate the time to develop KOTOR II. Whether or not Obsidian will do the third chapter is up in the air considering what happened with The Sith Lords...

I suspect they will wait 20 years to make the next game like they did with the movies.

Though I agree that it doesn't matter when it comes out, only if it will or won't.

Well, if they do that then they would attract newer audiences, and possibly make some thing like, k4... But thats saying way to much.

@Demortis and DZ: I've deleted two posts from this thread due to being irrelevant, and contributing nothing to the topic. I've edited the posts above as they are gripes concerning KoTOR 2, which has it's own forum. If you wish to comment on KoTOR 2 issues, please post in the appropriate forum.

Have you seen this personally? Or, can you direct those interested to where this is announced?
