KOTOR 3 on XBOX 360, and my script for kotor 3
Well I was just looking up the latest news on KOTOR 3 and it said that the developement WAS stalled because of the layoffs, it wasn't a rumor. Now nothing happens for no reason so I've come to the conclusion that KOTOR 3 will be on the xbox 360. If developement hasn't started by now, most likely when it starts it will be carried over to the Next Gen system. There is no way they could release K3(Knights of the old republic 3, for future reference) on the xbox before the release of xbox 360 and if they do release it on xbox after the 360 came out there will be a marketing struggle for K3.
I think this would be the best move for the KOTOR trilogy, being on the 360 will give it the realistic, bug free, cinematic feel we want the final installment to be. It will also have the possibility to be two different games. One for the dark side and one for the light side. They can either release it as a two disk package or two seperate games.
Now my script for Kotor 3, please tell me what you think, this is the first part of it and I will continue to write instalments until it is complete
The light side story*
You fly off into space in the ebon hawk while looking out the window and seeing all your dark memories destruct before your eyes. Everyone stands in aw behind you wondering what possibly could of happen on Malachor that day but you just stand and watch while they watch you. You turn around and walk to your chambers. You become dizzy and and stagger in to the corner and slide down the wall, a moment later Atton comes in.
Atton: wh-what happend,I've never seen you like this. there's a strange presence around you, i-it makes me feel...
(you cut him off),
Exile: leave... let me meditate
In the main room the crew stands and talks about you, wondering what happend, what you've learned, what happend to Kreia, and this is also when they explain how they got out of the mess of the Ebon Hawk crashing.
(Camera goes to the exile meditating)
Mysterious Voice in your head: awaken.......
You imediatly pop up, and think that it was Kreia's voice.
Exile: (screams), GET OUT OF MY HEAD...Why is this happening your dead!...
The Crew hears you and sends Visas into the room to see what is happening.
Visas: she's still there isn't she, in your head, you can still feel her, hear her, cant you?
Exile:..(silence)
Visas: I have the same thing, with my master. A student can never escape his master, even when they're dead, especially with a bond like you had with her, there is no end...until you are no more of what she was, she will be inside you, always, watching. the force is not a forgiving thing, especially the dark side...
(In the main room)
Atton: Where is Bao dur?, he said he was going to send remote to help him(or her), but I haven't seen him since (the exile) came back, I-I thought he was on the ship and I took off, HOW COME NO ONE STOPPED ME!
HandMaiden(or deciple): Atton, be calm, there is nothing we can do, he made a great sacrafice, let's not mourn but honor him.
(camera goes in to space where all you see is a dead silence, when you see a small 1 man ship fly by)(Kotor 1 music playing)
camera back to the ebon hawk.
Exile walks in to the main room
Atton: So what happend? You cant keep this inside you forever..
Exile: I'm sorry, but I must leave you all.
Mira: What are you talking about?
droid: beep beep boop boop wooooooo
exile: I cant tell you where I'm going but I must leave...this is hard for me but I have to go and...take care of unfinished business
Atton: After all we've been through your just gonna leave?
exile: please, i must leave you behind, but i need you all to be here for a purpose. You must establish the jedi order again. you are the last of the jedi...
HK: but master you must let me come with you.
exile: I am not your master HK, you alone know who your master is.
HK:No master, I have only one master. and that is you. You are the greatest of all meatheads.
Exile: Atton take me to Dantoinne. Maybe the people will be greatfull enough to give me a small ship
Atton: they should be, after you took care of all those bounty hunters.
(You land on dantooine and have a quest to find a ship for yourself)
(You get your ship and say your final goodbye's and take off to the unknown regions)
camera switches to a dark place, you see a man in a cloak from behind) and he's talking too an iridonian)
Cloaked Man(CM for future reference) : What of the chosen one, has he arrived?
Iridonian: Yes my master, he is here, i can feel him.
CM: good.....now i shall show him what life is, and why he is here. I will show him his destiny, and he will not stop me...for I am Vader, the true sith lord...
*Ok so this is were the game branches off. And you'll get to play as the exile, as hk trying to find his true master, and youll be playing as the crew to try to reastablish the jedi order*

Only one problem
The crew you got in Kotor II is affected by which gender you chose. If you choose to be girl Mira & Handmaiden are replaced by guys. Im not sure who but if you check on the Gamebanshee walthrough for Kotor II it will tell you this. Visa might be replaced aswell but im not sure.
Sorry I know you want some feed back not a lecture. In my opinion it sounds okay for a start I just dont see why everyone would be in a different room and then come in and give there advise. You just stopped a Sith Lord you'd figure everyone would be sticking by you the first second you stepped aboard the Ebon Hawk congratualting you.
I do however get how Kreia could speek to the Exile. In Star Wars Episode 6 at the end Obi Wan Kanobi, Yoda, and Darth Vader are with him as spirits. And if they can do it a Sith Lord must be able to. And I see how why she would try to corrupt you as Visa hinted she might. Just I thought the link was severed cause you managed to kill her without dieing yourself.
Perhaps your mission is to find out how to fracture this link between the two of you. A little blad for a Kotor plot but you havent shown the whole plot yet so I will wait and see.

Well Lucasarts may of have laid off the people who were in production for Kotor III, but I wouldn't nessarary believe what I hear. After all every thing that you hear is rumours. I mean they could be telling you this that team has been fired just to take all the fans for a ride when really they are possibly are developing Kotor III. May be they arn't but I have pretty good oath that Lucasarts will eventually make Kotor III because it's two a big of a success to completely ignore. As I said before I believe they will wait till the xbox 360 is developed and wait for a bit before any thing happens.
Please join my KotOR foum here.

I think they'll only put it out on Xbox 360
I think they will only put it out on the 360. That way they can use the latest technology and support Microsoft by having a wave of players buying it. When Game Cube first came out you didnt see I dont think people putting out games on N64 it was all Gamecube.
Im glad I will only play it on PC so I dont have to worry about it

If and when the game does come out, it will definately be on the Xbox 360 - Lucasarts will not be foolish enough to code for the Xbox and ignore what will potentially be the biggest and baddest gaming platform for the next three years.
As such, there is one massive issue to consider: engine development. The past two KOTOR games relied on Bioware's somethingorother game engine for graphics and while that was fine for the first Xbox, its limitations can be clearly seen when playing the games on the PC. Therefore, KOTOR III will have to use an engine that will be suitable for reuse in any number of RPGs for the coming four/five years: i.e. pretty damn nice. Now, those of us in the PC gaming world know how long it took Valve to bring Halflife 2 to the table as a result of them coding the game for every signel graphics configuration known to humankind: whilst Obsidian/Bioware won't have to bother with this (coding only for the 360 and whatever else), they still have to develop the engine and the more realistic it is, the more complicated it becomes. And the more time it takes.
I have no idea when the Xbox 360 will come out (I've heard Christmas this year... but I'm sure that was on the internet so it could be complete...), so I'm taking a guess that KOTOR III will be released as either a launch game (doubtful) or around six months afterwards. Either way, we're looking at six months to a year at least before KOTOR III surfaces.
However, I think there are some issues with your introduction to the story, bud, notably the fact that playing the game as the Exile or a fully capable Jedi will render the whole thing either very easy (for veteran KOTOR players who have access to all the powers/abilitys they had to crush Kreia first time around) or very boring (for those new to the game who don't really know how and when to use the huge amounts of Force toys/feats or even appreciate them because they were all there in the first place.
That's not knocking your intro as a whole - I think it is very well thought out as a continuation of KOTOR II but I don't think we're goign to be hearing much of the 'Chosen One,' either, by virtue of the prophecy's fulfillment with the birth of Anakin Skywalker four eons later.
What we probably will see is Visas or the Handmaiden discovering a very powerful individual during their efforts to reinstate the Jedi Order (swirling force, anybody? LOL!); this chap/chapette then goes off to find Revan/The Exile...
But in the end, it's all conjecture. We'll be going round in circles until the final story is complete and outlined by Lucasarts. Unfortunately.

Ya in reply to when the 360 is going to come out it will be in november. I work at a video game store(GameStop) and the release dates in our computer. It will be 300$ without hard drive, 350 with.
Just hold on and keep reading, as to the prophecy of the chosen one and the sith lord vader that will all fall in to place and when you play as the exile you will be a level 1 jedi master. As far as force powers go, you get stripped from all lot of the one's you had from the scarring youve gone through going back to malachor and from killing kreia. At start you'll get to choose you're first two force powers along with youre skills.
and read on to see that you will not be playing as just the exile but as HK, the crewmembers you left behind to establish the jedi order, and as the exile.
You know what, forget it I had a pretty good story in store for you guys but if all your going to do is knock it and question it without waiting till i explain it than im not going to write this thing
No offense was meant - whatsoever - in my post, dude. You could be completely right about the story, but you could equally be completely wrong. I do my best to look at the stories objectively in the light of the rest of the Star Wars universe and what Lucasarts has done with it...
I doubt any of the best stories written and published in this day and age make it without being passed to and fro between authors, proof-readers and advisors with criticism flying left, right and centre. Now, if the author were to complain about that criticism and throw the manuscript away then it's to nobody's benefit. It is wisdom to take on advice once considered, but ignorance to reject it out of hand regardless.
Reading the thread, I've just seen suggestions - nobody has said "your story sucks" or anything. So what if I think things are unlikely? If you find they have no bearing on your story? The point is that it's your story and you can tell it how you want. You don't think much of my suggestion? Fine. I'm far too old and apathetic to be offended by somebody not deeming my suggestions suitable, so feel free. However, don't stem your creativity just because of our suggestions.

I don't like how you have to play as diffrent people, I hate when games do that. I don't Vader should be in it, I think you should be sent on a quest to find Revan, but that won't be your main quest. Your sent to find Revan and you find him and he's not dark side he's nothing really now, but he still has all his powers and skills and ****, and depending on if your light or dark you have to sway to either side, but if you don't sway him and you get him mad you get into a battle with him and Revan as powerful as he is he'll own you in like 2 shots. Then once you do get him he has his robe and refuses to ever take it off even if he is light. Anyway you get him and you go to coruscant and you present him to the council, they make you a Jedi Knight they make the revan a master and you are now his apprentice. Now you'll find out your main mission, the jedi masters tell you about a new sith arrising and they tell you about a Trio that are bringing back the sith and you have to kill all three of them and at this point you can either play as the exile or Revan, that should make things interresting, if you want a game where you will destroy everything and basically have a really good time you play as Revan if you want more of story you play as the exile sound good?

@Chimera: All well and good, but since it's difficult to tell who valper was responding to - quite frankly, his post doesn't contribute anything to this thread, so I was encouraging a more specific response on his part - one can assume he was responding to strawser's post, which made no mention of Vader being included. This out of the way, one can see the importance of posting in a manner understood by others. In any event, seeing as how this thread isn't going much of anywhere, I'll let it stand a few more days before closing it.
