Intermittent Crashes - Am I the only one?

Here is my system config.

P4C800-E Dlx w/ P4 3.0EE
2x512MB Geil Golden Dragon PC3500 DDR
Antec 500W Power Supply.

ATI All in Wonder 9800 Pro
Audigy 2 Ex
3Ware 8500-4 RAID 1+0
Canopus DVStorm2

The game continuously crashes at various times and situations. None of which are consistent.

I've tried repairing my WinXP. Changing Hyperthread on and off. Ran DS2 at very low settings 1024x768 16bit, simple shadows, standard shaders, EAX off.

The game still crashes. I thought I had the problem solved when I did the XP repair figuring the re-install of DX 9.0C fixed what ever was wrong, but after about 1 hour of play the game dropped. No, heat issues.

Potential problem with CPU overheating?

Hope you're not overclocking or anything like that. Check your cooling device (heat sink, fans, thermal grease) to make sure the CPU is properly cooled. Random crashes are normally indicative of CPU related issue or bad memory chips.
