Party formation

Post by md_agis »

I opened this thread in order to take some ideas about various party formations. I want you to state your party format (which are they and what level) and to tell how difficult is the game with them.

My Party contains 3 Chars and one Pet,the Pet is an Dire Wolf Lvl 36 best Tank in Party(~1900 Live)then Lothar Lvl 36 Dual Wield Tank,Armen Lvl 36 Ranger and my main char a Nature Mage lvl 36 the best damage dealer up to 684 dmg.
At the moment (Act III searching the legendary Mace of Aggarus) its easy no problem, but still have to look at my mage :D

My party is quite weak, but strongful :D

The main char, an overbearer, with high Smite(60%), Critical(50%), and Deadly strike (330%), no defance skills.

No another char, but 3 pets. Dragon and 2 Fairy(I forgot their real name.)

I often use rampage mode, use my pets to attract enemies(use power, heal, or just playing catch :D ).

Running a lightning-based combat mage. I've got Taar focused on ice magic, and Vix on crossbows. Also, a dire wolf. I may change the last out--it has a tendency to run so far ahead of the others that they lose the benefits of his emanation. On the other hand, if they move up towards him (which I have to do one at a time), they become melee fodder. ;)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I was forced by one gamebug to play on multiplayer, so my team is limited to 3 persons.

1. Adelaide LaPlace - Grand Sorceress (Combat Magic), lvl 63, specialized in fire magic with little focus on curses (and a lot of skill points in Brilliance)
2. Lothar - Champion (Melee), lvl 63, tank with great armour (~1200) with shield of course.
3. Deru - Master Sharpshooter (Ranged), lvl 64, based on bows and crossbows (a lot of points in Shockwave, Penetrate and Mortal Wound).

Earlier, when I was playing in single Player mode, I was using a pet, called Fidel which was Dark Naiad. i tried using Taar, but I hadn't any good equipment for her, and she was running of mana all of the time.

Yesterday, me and my pal, came into curoius idea. To make team:
3 Combat Mages (lightning, fire, death) and 1 meat shield (tank, I mean), perhaps adding one Nature Mage on Veteran.
But, as I said, SP is closed for me, so I cannot check it :>

I'm using what I figured would be the typical party -- one character of each class -- but from viewing this thread and other threads, absolutely nobody else is doing that.

Anyway, my character is a dual-wielding fighter, I have Deru as a bow-based sharpshooter, Taar as a nature mage, and Finala as a lightning-based combat mage. Now that I'm in veteran, I've been auditioning pets in the 5th slot, but I haven't found one that I really like yet.
