Except that, presumably, Korriban and Malachor V were also parts of the Rakatan Infinite Empire. After all, the computer in the Shadowlands on Kashyyyk said the Rakatan's left Starmaps on all their worlds as some kind of monument thing to show the glory that was the entire empire. And didn't Kreia say something about Revan and Malak finding something on Malachor V which led them to their power? Could be they found some mention of a Starmap; maybe it was one that pointed to Dantooine, which is the one you see Malak and Revan approach in that dream/vision.

Lightsaber Combat
Now I liked KOTOR as much as anyone, but after abusing Final Fantasy XI and other such real-time combat RPGs, I grow weary of the standard "toolbar" of combat, where you just hit the execute button on a little function button for "Attack" or "Critical Strike" or a power. I think KOTOR III should try NOT to emulate the previous two as much as they did each other. I mean, there were SOME sweet additions to KOTOR II as opposed to its prequel. I think the best one would have to be the fact that when you empty a wicker box or a plasteel cylinder, it'll actually say "(Empty)" beside it when targeted. I loved it because I didn't feel like running around Nar Shaddaa checking every box fourteen times like I did on Taris. Other than that, there weren't enough differences. They made it so that statistics applied more to the Lab Station and Workbench stuff, but it was irrelevant. You don't actually need to ever even use a workbench, or Adrenal Alacrity, or any of that jazz. There are just too many unnecessary things going on. For once I'd like to see a game that forces you to take advantage of every aspect. Por ejemplo: In 1987 SNK made an 8-bit Nintendo title called "Crystalis". It was my favorite RPG of all-time, and when you fought particular enemies, you needed to wield certain weapons and relics to even do damage to them, and, you needed to be a certain level. Here we are almost 20 years later with hundreds of buttons to learn per controller, and games are getting EASIER?! "Disturbing, this is."
I think KOTOR III could incorporate a renovated battle system where when you engage in your queue, pick about 8 general commands, (Attack, Power Attack, Force Aura, whatever) and within each command is a certain time interval that increases with level. In this interval, for instance, while the "Attack" function is active, there would be specific combos to learn and execute, rather than just hitting the OK button 100 times. Force Powers could be just one button on the battle toolbar, instead of having them in a slot and scrolling through them up and down. When you execute "Force Power" in your queue, and that interval begins, then there would be button combos for each force power. These more interactive abilities would pave the way for up-close, detailed real-time combat, with realistic strategic elements that would keep us on our toes. Other than that, I feel that most aspects of the series are well-structured. Maybe you'll all think I'm crazy or not be able to picture it as I have, but I just figured I should put it out there.

I think the twist should be that Revan is dead, and so is the exile, and you the main hero has been ordered by Bastilla to discover how they died, and you discover that... Sorry, lucasarts couldn't let me write any more, otherwise it would spoil the story
Skandaman, back from the dead, and now kicking butt again. Fear him for he's angry and fillled with sugar. Mmm sugar.

I agree with a few of the others posts. The story needs to come to a close, meaning that a Jedi Council is now made up and if they are 2 seperate games (dark and light), you either fight with, or against the Council. As a light character, you could play the Exile with Revan as your Master. You can challenge him at any time, and he will win, everytime. Then, towards the end of the game, he could be incapasitated at some point, and during the final battle, you could be thrown aside as your character, and take control of Revan. If you were a Dark Side character, you could go slaughtering Jedi Apprentices or something similar, and during the final battle, fight Revan. The final battle as a Dark Character will be alot harder, if you lose, the story ends with the good guys winning. Should you happen to win, you could be finished off by the Exile.
Meh, I don't care what happens really, as long as these are met:
1) Better storyline than KOTOR 2
2) Better Game Engine, specifically targeting system. One too many times I've had an enemy selected through a wall at least 500 meters away.
3) Not developed by Obsidian. I don't care what other games they have been apart of, they made KOTOR 2 suck. Bring back Bioware. They really know how to make a good game, and a good story.

When thinking story we have to think about the mechanics of the game.
Its an RPG after all, in the original game you had no idea you were a Jedi, until you got to Dantooine, in he 2nd game you were in denial, and slowly regained your force conection.
in any 3rd game you are going to start out as a weak Jedi or as a Jedi that dont know they are a Jedi.
So the story itself would have to relate to that.
So my guess is you would be a young gifted Padawan, charged with the task of seeking out Revan and his cronies. The Jedi order lies in tatters and as the most promising student at the academy on Coruscant (which I would love to see on a game) you are given this task.
Depending on your choices from the last game you can choose to take a Jedi mentor with you, this might be Visas or Atton, or Briana (handmaiden) all depending on your allignment. The opening could be you doing your trials which get you up to say level 2 or 3. You then get given your mission by the remnants of the council.
They send you off to Korriban to look for clues.
Thats about as far as I have got with this idea so far.

That kid is on the escolator again!
Ideally, the game would open with Revan being imprisoned and cut off from the Force somewhere within the Sith Empire. You could then start with a classic, heroic escape and be thrown right in the game. Perhaps you could even have a lightsaber after having found yours in your prison. As the story of Ulic proves, you don't need Force powers to wield a saber. Revan can then return to Republic space and see how the galaxy has changed. He could either meet with the Exile -gender and alignment of which could be determined in advance through chat options- who conveniently wears a robe, mask or something along those lines to hide his/her appearance. If on the same sides of the Force, the Exile could teach Reven to find a way back to the Force. On different sides, there could be a dialogue and Revan could kill the Exile to return to the Force.
Afterwards, Revan pays a visit to the new council who isn't exactly happy to see him. They ignore Revan's "warning of a coming threat" or "his own threats". Upon walking out he meets a young padawan who wishes to follow him, either to the light or dark side. Etc.

hmmmmmmm(spoiler if you havn't beaten the first to kotor's)
ok what i want to see on kotor 3 is like less loading times like everyone like i woudnt mind is like they were 2 mins if there were no more for one planet you get me? cuz like on the first one on mannan theyere were so many loading times and they took forever theyere were what like 5 loads in the whoe planet? but they took a while and i want to know what happend to bastilla carth mission zaanibar jolle juhani well not really juhani she was weird and well i already know what happend to canderous but yeah and since i finished both the games on light side i want to kknow what happend to revan and the ebonhawk i aslo finished them on dark which was ok but like everyone died and on the first one carth left and half your party got wiped out when you chose the dark side i mean juhani jolee carth left as i said zannibar (maybe) and mission i wanted to spere her but i couldnt and more choices on the dialouge i know that if you finish the 2nd one on light and dark there are more dialogue options but i want them to start out with and that whole two discs Light side dark side is a very good idea....whose was that again yeah and i want to actuaslly see revan and bastilla and maybe like at the beginning of the game when you make your charachter some how they ask you how you made revan looked (male female, black asian or white and like which one and then you meet him{her} and he{she} talk like actuaslly with a voice yeah anywas i have alot of idea what im sure everybody wants but that would take too long and this is already pretty long

For the how you finished the game in the second one problem they could do what they did last time and have it be set up by a subtle series of questions instead of having two discs.
Also i think that the exile and revan should be in the game but i think it is best if they aren't playable and aren't seen but are still, as i said, in the game because every ones revan is different and the same goes for the exile.

Listen to the cutscenes, they found the Trayas academy. The academy had tons of Dark Side aura and something about it being the perfect place to slaughter the madalorians because of the aura or something there. Anyways the Dark Side aura there made them more powerful and they learned how to turn Jedi there(into Sith).

apparently, there are also more of these places, such as in the war of Exar Kun, on Yavin. He went to fight the true sith, who must have made and inhabted the area.
What I find confusing is that if they are supposed to be a belief, then how do you fight it?

From what i understand, yes the true sith is a belief but you fight its followers/cultists, i also think it is species specific a sentient race obviously, most likely will be told as superior to all non jedi humans and even to msot jedi (except you of course and that is why you have been chosen).

yeah it is a belief but there is an entire nation of people who follow that belief and therer you have the tengible true sith, but, if true sithism is a belief why were not Revan, Malak sion nihilius and co. not considered them? atleast revan.

Yea i see your point (im no real harcore fan) i don't really know much beyond the movies or the kotor games. But it just kind of seems like in the second game (i don't even know where the true sih theory or fact came from but its been here for a while) that it was just a belief so i guess im just saying that i don't know where it came from beyond what kreia says about the sith that were there were not true sith .
Everyone bear in mind the first word of this thread's title: "Prediction." A prediction is just that; it's based on guesses and conjecture. Demands for sources in order to back up a prediction aren't appropriate. I will delete any posts which do that.

I have an idea. instead of someone else flying the ebon hawk, you can fly it. and oh that was a good idea about the sith lords or jedi joining your party but i would like it if you create three characters from Kotor1,2,and3 and you get all your party members back from all the game, but you have unlimited party spaces, and you could kill people on the streets at will without them having to have a red circle around them. im prodicting that you could build a sith academy, or jedi enclave and get people off the streets (for sith) or hire children and train them until there an adult (light side) and it would be a good idea if there was a dark side and a light side disk, so you could play both of them. another goood idea would be that you can start off with a light saber.

@chanak, i thought i wa sin another thread, i have a lsight head cold and thinking is not my strong point right now.
Predictin:
i tihnk they will choose an ending in the middle by saying that all your party members survived no matter what, theyll say that when the ship fell through the crck atton piloted it the other side. i also think that they will keep all the lost jedi, they just wont explain how mira joined if u were dark like me, ia lso think that t3 and hk along with bao-dur will return as party members. my other thought is that they need to hurry up and announce the game, by all emans they need to take their time as it has been mentioned number 2 was lacking, but atleast give us something other than the press release hintintng that the kotor3 dev team was laid off. sometihng posotive.
