The Kalrathian Nexus - Soul Staff (ACT III QUEST)

I have found the cave in the temple of Xeria where you have to chant aecesso arcanum. Why isn't there any node of earth shown in my inventory ?? is there something that i need to get before i chant. By the way i don;t even have the soul staff to imbue, what am i don't wrong. I am following everything that the quest detail is asking me to ,,,,!! please help

You need to have the soul staff equipped to imbue it.
Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes right down to the bone
