Party limits

Post by fable »

Does anybody know the ultimate limits on party size in the game? That's to say, how many you can have in a party if you pay the innkeepers for all you can handle?

*SPOILER*

to get to use those you have to beet the game in each difficulty...which i think is a bit of a hastle in some areas. afre you complete the hard level you can then acess the elite level, which may allow for more party members, but i doubt that.

Kishar appears to have the right of it. Thanks very much!

Zenix, there's no spoiler. Knowing how many people you can add to your party comes under the heading of understanding basic game mechanics, which the manual is woefully lacking in at times. ;)

How do you beat a game? Can you beat chess, baseball, football or darts? You complete or finish games.

You beat opponents or competitors.

Just a pet peeve of mine.
;)

As far as completing the game to get to the next difficulty level only to be rewarded with a larger party size and the same creatures with more hit points is lousy/lazy programming. Some new paths and weapons/spells would have been a nice touch and worth the replay.

Has anyone got 6 mages to summon 6 monsters and therefore gone around with 12 on there team?
I'm wondering how everyone would fit on one of these small elevators.

I doubt it's been done, since that require having 6 nature mages, and who would want to recustomize all the other characters he's found just to do this? -But it is a fun idea. Especially since summons don't count to the party total.

Combat Mages can summon too, so it is feasible. This would be especially true if you customize some act 1 hirelings.

True. At the time I wrote the above, I didn't know about combat mages being able to summon, so since then I've acquired several spells along these lines. In addition, there's a chant you can learn that adds several friendly, summoned monsters to your party, though the effect seems to last a minute. (This may be a bug.)

summons

i have a party of 2 sharpshooters and one magus and i have given both sharpshooters lvl 5 in nature magic so i can summon with all

when i go on an elevator there seems to be enough room for 9 characters,

if any of the summons r left behind they just teleport to your party
